Our cells need insulin to take in glucose. But in diabetes there isn\u2019t enough or any insulin. So the glucose can&#8217;t get into them and you have no energy. This can make you hungrier and more tired than usual.<\/p>\n<p>Peeing more often and being thirstier<br \/>\nA person with diabetes may need to pee a lot more, than an average person.<\/p>\n<p>Dry mouth &amp; Itchy Skin<br \/>\nBecause the body is using a lot of fluid to make urine, there&#8217;s less moisture available for other things. This can make you dehydrated, and your Mouth may feel dry. <\/p>\n<p>Blurred vision<br \/>\nChanging fluid levels in body can make the lens in Eyes swell up. <\/p>\n<p>What are the symptoms of Diabetes<br \/>\nThese appear after the glucose level is high for a long time.<\/p>\n<p>Fungal or yeast infections:<br \/>\nExcess glucose in your body promotes fungal infection. In diabetes there can be fungal infections<br \/>\nBetween fingers and toes<br \/>\nUnder breasts<br \/>\nIn or around genital organs.<\/p>\n<p>Slow-healing sores or cuts<br \/>\nOver time, high blood sugar can affect the blood flow and it may even cause nerve damage.<br \/>\nThat makes it hard for your body to heal wounds.<\/p>\n<p>Pain or numbness in feet or legs<br \/>\nThis is also a result of nerve damage caused by high blood glucose.<\/p>\n<p>Unplanned weight loss<br \/>\nIf your body can&#8217;t get energy from the food you consume, then it will start burning muscle and fat for energy.  This leads to the unintentional weight loss.<\/p>\n<p>Nausea &amp; Vomiting<br \/>\nWhen the body burns fat, it makes ketones. These ketones can build up in blood to dangerous levels. These Ketones can make you feel sick.<\/p>\n<p>What are the warning Signs of Diabetes Complications<br \/>\nSigns of diabetes&#8217; complications may include:<br \/>\nSlow-healing sores or cuts<br \/>\nItchy skin (usually around the vaginal or groin area)<br \/>\nFrequent yeast infections.<br \/>\nRecent weight gain.<br \/>\nVelvety, dark skin changes of the neck, armpit, and groin, called Acanthosis nigricans<br \/>\nNumbness and tingling of the hands and feet<br \/>\nDecreased vision<br \/>\nImpotence or erectile dysfunction (ED)<\/p>\n<p>A serious complication of prolonged increase in blood glucose is Diabetic Coma<br \/>\nThis serious complication can even lead to death.<br \/>\nIt may occur with either type of diabetes, though it\u2019s more common in type 2. <\/p>\n<p>Other complications of diabetes are:<br \/>\nHeart disease and stroke<br \/>\nDiabetic retinopathy<br \/>\nGlaucoma<br \/>\nCataract<br \/>\nChronic kidney disease (CKD)<br \/>\nNeuropathy<br \/>\nGum diseases<\/p>\n<p>When to visit a Doctor<br \/>\nIf you&#8217;re older than 45 or have other risks for diabetes, it&#8217;s important to get tested.<br \/>\nWhen you diagnose the condition early, you can avoid nerve damage, Heart trouble, and other complications.<\/p>\n<p>#diabetes<br \/>\n#diabetessymptoms<br \/>\n#diabetesmellitus<br \/>\n#type2diabetes<\/p>\n<p>Medical disclaimer: Medinaz Academy does not provide medical advice.
